Persib Bandung Tak Over Confidence saat Jumpa Arema di Liga 1

SinPo.id - Persib Bandung mampu menggapai papan atas di posisi dua klasemen, kondisi itu tidak membuat mereka over confidence saat menjajal Arema FC di pekan ke-19 BRI Liga 1 2023/24, Rabu 8 November 2023. Arema FC adalah tim yang saat ini ada di peringkat 16 klasemen sementara berjuang melepaskan diri jadi zona degradasi.

Marc Klok, sosok yang belakangan jadi kapten Persib merasa timnya tidak over confidence. Timnya selalu menganggap setiap laga sulit, tak peduli lawan yang dihadapi adalah berstatus tim papan atas maupun tim papan bawah. Persib juga disebutkan kesulitan menghadapi Borneo FC dan Bhayangkara FC.

“Saya pikir tim kita tidak ada over confidence, kami semua paham setiap pertandingan di Indonesia selalu sulit dan tidak peduli apakah itu bermain melawan Borneo FC atau Bhayangkara FC,” kata Klok.

Setiap tim punya karakter, kualitas, dan tingkat kesulitan yang berbeda. Hal yang dibutuhkan Persib adalah fokus kepada persiapan sendiri, tim harus memastikan mereka siap meladeni seperti apapun tipe lawannya. Ia menegaskan Persib tidak boleh kelebihan kepercayaan diri yang bisa jadi bumerang.

“Menurut saya adalah setiap pertandingan itu sulit, semua tim punya kualitas, mungkin ada salah satu tim yang lebih beruntung dari tim lainnya mengenai hasil, jadi saya harus tetap fokus seperti yang saya katakan sebelumnya. Kita tidak boleh over confidence,” tuturnya.

Persib saat ini berada dalam laju positif di BRI Liga 1 2023/24. Tim asuhan Bojan Hodak tak terkalahkan dalam 11 pertandingan. Maung Bandung dalam perjuangan mempertahankan posisi empat besar demi lolos ke Championship Series.

"I don't think our team has overconfidence, we all understand that every match in Indonesia is always difficult and it doesn't matter whether it is playing against Borneo FC or Bhayangkara FC," said Klok.

Each team has different characters, qualities and levels of difficulty. What Persib needs is to focus on their own preparations, the team must ensure they are ready to face whatever type of opponent they face. He emphasized that Persib should not be overconfident which could backfire.

“My opinion is that every game is difficult, all teams have quality, maybe one team is luckier than the others regarding the results, so I have to stay focused as I said before. "We must not be overconfident," he said.
